The most recent release is iOS 17. Apple has released a number of new features and enhancements this fall. Here’s what to expect from the new iOS 17.

The user experience on iOS 17 is supposed to be even more intuitive and seamless. Significant modifications have also been made to Messages and cross-phone sharing.

In this blog post, we will look closer at a few of the main features. Get ready to explore everything this update has to offer.

Obtain Instant Voicemail Transcripts

How can you tell if a voicemail that came through during a Zoom call is important? iOS 17 will make this much easier to determine. A transcript of the voicemail will appear on your screen when one is received. No more having to speculate!

Customized Contact Posters

Do you hate the pictures some of your friends have saved for your contact? The one that shows up every time you give them a call? You now have the power over how you appear to others when you call them.

Apple is introducing Personalized Contact Posters. When you call the people you have shared your poster with, you can decide how you look. You can appear as a Memoji, your own photo, and more. Colors and text can also be added.

Send a FaceTime Audio or Video Message

When you call someone on FaceTime and they don’t answer, you can now do more than leave a missed call. Audio and video messages will be supported via FaceTime. They resemble improved voicemails.

Now you can share that exciting experience in real time, even if they are unable to answer. You can leave it for them to watch later.

More FaceTime Improvements: Apple TV & Reactions

A new feature coming to Facetime is more emotive reactions. New forms of self-expression are:

  • Hearts
  • Balloons
  • Fireworks
  • Laser Beams
  • Rain
  • and more

Facetime calls can now be connected with AppleTV. See your loved ones directly from your largest screen.

Anyone Like Stickers?

If you’re a fan of using stickers in your messaging, the following feature is going to be your favorite. iOS 17 will have a major sticker update for Messages. Among these are the new emoji stickers. Plus, you’ll be able to create Live Stickers from your own photos.

You can even add effects to your stickers. A sticker drawer has also been created to store them all.

Use NameDrop & AirDrop For Easier Sharing

It will now be easier to share Files, Photos, and Videos between devices. AirDrop allows you to share files quickly and easily between phones.
Contact details can be shared quickly with others using NameDrop. All you have to do is place two iPhones side by side. It is compatible with Apple Watch and iPhone as well. Oh, and it also includes sharing music!

With NameDrop, you can now share that cool Contact Poster you made.

Smarter Dictation & Autocorrect

Who hasn’t cursed an autocorrect that made you look bad? Apple understands your pain and has improved autocorrection. A machine learning language model upgrade will be applied to this functionality. With the upgrade, it will be able to predict text more accurately and understand what you actually want to type.

Upgrades are also coming to Dictation. To increase accuracy, it will make use of a fresh model for speech recognition.

Standby Glanceable Screen Mode

Apple wants to make your iPhone more useful. Even when it’s across the room charging. Thus, iOS 17 brings us StandBy. Users now have a full-screen experience with information shown large on the screen.

You have access to a wide variety of useful views to customize the display:

  • Clock Styles
  • Favorite images
  • Widgets (such as Smart Stacks)
  • Real-Time Events
  • Siri
  • Incoming Calls

The Health App Has New Features for Mental Health

Apple is adding more features related to mental health. Users will have the ability to record both momentary and daily emotions with the health app. Helping people identify the factors that influence their mental health is the aim. ln addition to conveniently accessing the clinic-used depression and anxiety assessments.

Screen Distance in Screen Time will mitigate digital eyestrain. A user will be encouraged to take their device further away from their face. If users have their phones closer than 12 inches for a long amount of time, it will take this action.
